SOTO is a suite of tools presented through an interactive, web-based visualization front end. It provides access to a broad range of satellite-derived products and key parameters of interest to the oceanographic community. SOTO facilitates visual exploration and comparative analysis of physical oceanographic data, enabling scientific oceanographic, climate, and related research.

SOTO was recently updated to version 4.1.2 with internal improvements for performance and back-end processing.  Users should notice updates to the information on each dataset, specifically the much-requested Time Span of available visualizations within the information pop-up windows.  This shows the availability of the full historical record for all dataset layers within the tool.
