The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the release of a set of GHRSST L2P/L3U Sea Surface Temperature (SST) datasets from multiple microwave instruments produced by the Remote Sensing Systems (RSS, or REMSS). This release includes: AMSR2 L2P v8a, AMSR2 L3U v8a, AMSR-E L3U v7a, GMI L3U v8.2a, TMI L3U v7.1a, and WindSat L3U v7.0.1a SST products. The SST datasets are all formatted in netCDF4, in compliance with the Group for High Resolution Sea Surface Temperature (GHRSST) Data Processing Specification version 2 (GDS2), indicated with the letter “a” at the end of the version number. Both the L2P and L3U datasets contain global near daily-coverage SST with 25 km spatial resolution. More information on these new datasets can be found here: http://www.remss.com/missions/
