UTCSR/JPL GRACE Level-2 RL06 datasets release

The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the GRACE Level-1/Level-2 Release-06 (RL06) datasets from the University of Texas Center of Space Research (CSR) and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The RL06 has made several significant improvements and updates from the current RL05, including updated background force models and improved parameterizations. For more detail, please read the following online documents: “CSR Level-2 Processing Standards Document for Product Release 06 GRACE 327-742”, “JPL Level-2 Processing Standards Document For Level-2 Product Release 06”, “Release Notes for CSR RL06 GRACE L2 products”, and “JPL Level-2 GRACE Products - Release Notes Version 6.0”. This release includes three Level-2 products from CSR: GAC, GAD, and GSM, and five from JPL: GAA, GAB, GAC, GAD, and GSR, which are all in compressed ASCII format and can be accessed through both FTP and Drive. In addition, this release includes one level-1 product: GRACE AOB1B RL06. The RL06 datasets have been redesigned with the new header structure, which is in compliance with the PO.DAAC standard metadata model and formatted in the human-readable YAML format.
