The PO.DAAC is pleased to announce the public release of the JPL MEaSUREs Gridded Sea Surface Height Anomalies Level 4 Version 1812 datasets. There are 2 datasets, an interim dataset that has an optimal delay of 4 weeks, and reference dataset that is delayed approximately 2-3 months, with better orbit corrections so that the Sea Surface Height Anomalies are more accurate. The anomalies are measured from 2 altimetric satellites and then gridded using the kriging method. More information regarding MEaSUREs is available from the mission website and also via PO.DAAC’s mission webpage.

The data are on a 1/6 degree grid every 5 days, which starts 2 October 1992. They are in netCDF format with a single file every 5 days. At present, the interim dataset is available from 4 May 2018 to 23 June 2019 and the reference dataset from 2 October 1992 to 30 November 2018. These datasets will be appended with new 5 day fields in the coming months.
